ABOUT

Picture
Ryan King - Lead Singer, Guitar
" Originated in New Braunfels, TX from a family of five. I was brought to the likes of music from my father's taste and was taught how to play the guitar at the age of ten. The most solid influence of songwriters are from Gregory Alan Isakov and J. Tillman, among others. Most importantly, music has and always will be the therapeutic divide between every detail of reality and the blissful interpretation of it."

Jake Bomgaars - Lead Singer, Guitar
"I've been writing and performing since I was fourteen years old in my hometown of Boerne, TX. I've been consistently moved by many genres but tended to gravitate around rock, indie and electronic bands like Kings of Leon, Mac Demarco, Tame Impala and Palace. I attended UT at Austin and met the Night Cap mates junior year when I opened for their first show at The Sahara Lounge. We vibed from the get-go and a week later I had joined the band. My life revolves around the amazing people and creative energy that exists in this beautiful city."

Alex Alfonso - Bassist
"My name's Fonzi, the bass player for Night Cap. I'm originally from South Florida, but moved to Texas to attend the University of Texas at Austin, where Ryan and I met. My favorite bands include The Strokes, Radiohead, Talking Heads, and Local Natives. All time favorite basslines to play include Around the World by Daft Punk, I Want You Back by the Jackson 5, and any reggae song. I enjoy a well salted steak and short books, heavy on pictures. Adrian's the party guy."

Adrian Ayala - Keyboardist
"Shalom. The name is Adrian Ayala. Been playing the keys for about a decade now. Beginning in my early years I would serenade the residents at local retirement homes. Although many of those sweethearts will always have a special place in my heart, I saw myself wanting to take a slightly different path with my musical career. From there, I continued with my formal music lessons playing recitals around town, in front of small crowds, as well as weddings. It wasn't until my senior year that I began playing with Ryan. Having met him in the winter we were originally rooted in folk tunes."
